Scrabble Is Getting A Harry Potter Version

Calling all Potter-heads! There is an official Harry Potter Scrabble edition coming soon. The game will accept wizard-themed words like Hogwarts, Dobby, and Patronus.

Brought to you by USAopoly, SCRABBLE: World of Harry Potter will allow characters, places, spells, and potions as legal words. Just like in standard Scrabble, all words found in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary are legal words, but now you can also use any word found in the wizarding world.

You can even use first and last names of characters (Ron or Weasley) from the series, or you can even use the actors from the movies (Alan or Rickman) are also legal.   You can play places (Azkaban), or spells (lumus) can all be placed down. Players will earn more points for magical words and can receive more points as the word gets longer.

This version of the game really deviants from the traditional version is with its card-drawing component, and players can earn extra points by completing those challenges.

SCRABBLE: World of Harry Potter will be available for $30 from various retailers this spring.
